Well! We’ve been hearing about Ghostbusters 3 for a while now, but apparently, it’s finally starting to get somewhere.

Here is what we know so far from /Film, Firstshowing, and MTV:

  • Writers Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky of “The Office” will be tackling the screenplay (interesting choice)
  • Sony is shooting for a 2011 release
  • The of the original cast will be back as “mentors” to a new group of young Ghostbusters

Check out what Harold Ramis has to say about the new film below…

And as for the Ghostbuster’s coming into a new millennium with new special effects, it looks like they’re being going all out. Harold Ramis (Dr. Egon Spengler) told MTV in a recent interview:

“There will be a whole new generation that has to be trained, and that whole new generation will be led by an individual who you’ll all love when you meet him but I’m not going to tell you anything yet,” teased Aykroyd. “They’ll be lots of cadets, boys and girls, who’ll be learning how to use the psychotron, the accelerators and all the new stuff, the neuron splitter, which is going to be the interplaner, interceptor and all these great tools that they’re going to have, to flip from dimension to dimension.”

The guy certainly knows his technology jargon. Sounds like they’ll be going all out! Dimension hoping, neuron splitters, sounds like every boys dream! It also sounds like there won’t just be another group of Ghostbusters, but a Ghostbuster fleet. Perhaps they’ve taken fighting demons mainstream.

I know this is prolly stuff I've heard before but it's good to know Ramis has alot of plans with passing down the technology to the new generation. =D

Tsk start filming already!

In other news,

Hey sweetie. Looking forward to 2012! And 2011! =D

This is a good Saturday.

Oh I almost forgot.

I dreamt I was one of the Ghostbusters. Again. FOR THE THIRD TIME!

I swear it was awesome, to be sitting inside Ecto-1 and driving past traffic lights with all the proton packs inside.. oh that adrenaline rush.

And I woke up happy! Hahahahahahhahah.

Oh can I at least be in the next movie? Maybe the diner girl or that weird girl who serves coffee down the street near the HQ? And maybe get a ride in Ecto-1?

Anyone please?

I think someone should really release that video game soon. Like, really soon.

Winston's equation didn't fit, thus the portal was re-opened.
And that is Ghosbusters 3.

So I woke up happy.
Smiling.
It is a good Sunday.

omg omg omg omg.
This def tops the last news that I heard about.
And this is the best Saturday news so far.

GHOSTBUSTERS MOVIE IN THE WORKS!
Is my wish finally granted?

From popsugar.com

"...I think there are several reasons for this including:

  1. It has a good chance of not sucking, because it's in very capable hands. Two Emmy-nominated writers from The Office, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, have been recruited "to work on a new installment of the 1980s franchise that starred Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson and Harold Ramis as bumbling ghost-hunting scientists."
  2. The Hollywood Reporter also notes that "the original filmmakers, including director Ivan Reitman, and cast are aware of the project and involved in its development." Blessing from original director and cast? Another excellent sign.
  3. And finally, it appears that we may get the best of both worlds cast-wise. Variety says the idea is to get the old gang back together in some capacity, while the Hollywood Reporter says that while original cast members may appear, the focus will be on a new group of ghostbusters. Either way, all signs point to some infusion of new talent. For example, E! has a quote from Dan Aykroyd implying he would love to have the Apatow comedy troupe involved. This is a good thing, because I'd hate to see the old ghostbusters strapping on their proton packs only to complain about how heavy they suddenly feel. I'd be worried a movie that only reunites the old cast one last time would feel too much like Wild Hogs...."

Ok so maybe popsugar ain't really it. So I decided to view more credible sources and lookie lookie. Look what I found?

If it is on BBC News, then it's almost definitely going to be it right?

I think I shall go immerse myself in the 2 movies for the 974628th time again. Soon enough, I can immerse myself in 3 MOVIES.

Awesome.

Ok shut up because I believe in large amount of miracles.

From Facebook Ghostbusters page:

The Ghostbuters are back in an all new story penned by Dan Ackroyd and Harold Ramis!

With Manhattan overrun with ghosts its up to you to take the role as a new recruit joining the Ghostbuster team and help save the world from this latest paranormal plague.Dan Ackroyd has said the computer game was essentially the third Ghostbusters film, adding: "And it's better than the third movie because it lasts longer, there's more development of the characters."

He said the new game was set in 1991 when the characters are running a more successful business. "These characters are now older, more experienced, perhaps a little more jaded, more tough, with maybe not as compassionate a view of the spirits that they used to have."

=DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Anybody of you who can get me this will be the love of my life. And if you can get me this with my long-search OST RGB will be the love of my life EVER.

Which means if I can get this, I will love myself for life laaaahh.

Wow. Best Monday news EVER.

Effect: Hours of Sims, Ghostbusters playback and lots of nap.

Result: 2 frehsly gradutaed Sims, a new line memorised from GB and gained a little weight(i think).

whoa. i spent a saturday like i'v never had one before. But if felt good coz i know i deserved it. *pats myself* gd gd. =p

So I made spagetti bolognese today. You know like a special meal to celebrate or something. But its funny how no matter how hard I tried, i still had to put in Sambal Kicap. Haha.. bolognese with sambal- jawa style.

Speaking of food...

I went for an interview yesterday. No, not a job interview. Its like a club/society interview for international students. I wasnt really interested but I went anyway because I thought it was just polite to attend since...

... What are the chances an officer from from Internatioanl Student Office coming up to you can calling you by your full name?

So it was break time and I invited Ayesha over to my place to hang out for awhile. We were walking pass the cafe and suddenly this lady came up to me

"You are Nur Farhana right?"

(sak full name. asal tak nak muliadi skali seh) "Err... yeah. Can I help you?"

"I tried calling you so many times. But your phone kept directing me to a voicemail. Could you come down for an AIS(Assocaition of International Students) interview tmr?"

... oklor. so i attended. With no expectations whatsoever because I dont really expect myself to get involved this year coz its an important year. But i thought it would be important to leave a good impression so i tried my best for the interview.

Funny. They ask weird question. And mention weird stuff too.

"If you had to choose only one fruit for a BABIque, but would it be?"

"babi hutan?(rambutan) since its a BABIque and all."

want to die ah? of course i didnt say that lah. I said apple coz it would contribute less littering as compared to oranges and babi hutan rambutan. Like whatever. Haha.

As a matter of fact, there were alot of scenarios regarding BABIque you know. Very interesting. Hmmmm....

So, what fruit would you choose for a BABIque?
